Turn to channel seven.
Did you hear what they had to say?
The north had advance over weaker defense,
bleeding Saigon’s chance to stay.
Susan says I scared for you. And I love you.
Not flesh of my flesh, nor bone of my bone.
But my own. Angels standing by.
Tonight. It’s gonna be alright.
A child given up with all her love, for new life and brand new
day.
She kisses him and says. I’m gonna see you someday.
And I’m so scared for you. And I love you, and there’s angels
standing by.
Tonight. It’s gonna be alright. Cause I’ve seen it today.
A busy market street, where kind people meet. The old and the
new there’s always something to do, so she prays. Watching the
children play.
And I’m so scared for you. And I still love you.
But there’s a girl on the street and she lying on a sheet.
She’s given up her right for life.
And a tear burns my eye when she says good night to a man.
he bought her body and soul.
The stories told, to the young and the old. That’s why I want
you to know.
A quarter century’s past.
I’m just looking back. I’m trying to understand, this path I
walk upon.
And the thanks you’ll find.
Will last for all time.
And we can say
Not flesh of my flesh, nor bone of my bone.
But my own. Angels standing by.
Tonight. It’s gonna be alright.
With angels standing by.
